Zero miles shit is just worthless to me.
Dont see the point, just build a plastic model if all you want to do is look at it

Pretty sure the plastic model would be more functional……¯\(ツ)

i bid on the duc. it needs work. dont know what it might be worth, any ideas? it would be a race bike, so it doesnt need to be perfect
I doubt it's worth more than about $3k but I'm no expert on those. Keep in mind it's got 16" wheels so your selection of tires won't be great. If'n it were me*** I'd look for a '91 or later and avoid the pitfalls of a one year only model. The later SS's also came with 17" wheels from the factory.

It hasn't got the draw of the F1, or the commonality of the later Super Sports. If you can't get it cheap why bother. IMHO

*** In fact this sort of was me and now I have a POS '96ish 900ss in my basement awaiting attention to be returned to track use. It will have to wait a while longer though, I have a possible deal in the works which will take priority in a huge way if it all works out.

Okay, real talk.
Troll hat off.

The FCRs on my DB4 are pissing me off, because they will not stop pissing fuel.
Dont seem to be leaking when running, but after I shut the bike off they leak into the intake tract. Cant see exactly where it is coming from. Seems to increase in flow when I open the throttle.
Maybe a missed something when I cleaned them? Made a mess in the garage last night, but no damage.

Thoughts?

FCR does have a little accelerator fuel pump that sends raw fuel into the carb intake every time you crank the throttle, sounds like it could relate to your problem. There is a screw inside the carb to adjust when the pump activates and that assembly should have a tiny amount of free play in the adjustment when the throttle is closed.

I just rebuilt mine but haven't put fuel in them yet. I did install them but got distracted (depressed) when I admitted to myself the engine has to come out and the cases split to correct the shimming on the countershaft.

Anywhos I can't recall any detail that might be giving you trouble... So I'm no help at all and you're no better off than if I hadn't said anything.

Sorry...

The accelerator pump fuel circuit has 2 check valves inside there, if those go faulty you have a path for fuel to flow out of the float bowl and into the intake.
How do you confirm the check valves are working? Are they replaceable?

seems that everything is overpriced. i dont want a $800 pos. something decent/running would be nice. found a running 93 750ss for 3k, maybe about 500 too much. but i would like to get it on the track this year. and dont see prices going down anytime soon.

Carburetor cleaner spray should only pass in one direction through the ports. Hopefully you can clean them up that way and get the balls and springs working good because I don't think you can replace the parts very easy.
