I have a Suzuki 1982 400L that has a flooding carb and I am trying to find a rebuild kit or a service manual.
The issue Im having is that whenever I try and find parts the bike doesn't show up on any parts websites or stores I call.
I live in Canada and talked to Suzuki Head Office in Canada and gave them the VIN. They confirmed it is a 1982 GS400L and I have the badges for it. They don't have any parts information for bikes that old however.
Is it possible that the bike was sold under a different model or name in the USA, Europe, or Japan?
Im at my wits end with this search but it was my first bike and I refuse to let it sit and rust away.
Any possible leads or any possible clues would be appreciated. Even if I could find an alternative carb setup or the mikuni part #

Hi. Welcome onboard. From my research your bike takes a Mikuni BS34 set of carbs.

Good news is, that same carburetor model was used on a slew of different motorcycles, you are not limited to Suzuki part #'s & Sudco is typically the best source for carb parts and tune-up support documentation on-line.

Vm30's are a great swap for that bike. Just do a google search for them. =Great upgrade.
