have been working on a 75 GT500 for almost a year now. rebuilt and re jetted the carbs slipped on some cones and expansions got sum new bars and a seat.... now im putting everything back together. i need some help with what padding to use on my seat, and im in need of a new headgasket and piston rings... anyone know where i could find sum??

Piston rings and head gaskets should still be available from your local Suzuki dealer or on-line. You can get part numbers from an on-line fiche like this one:

I usually get my part numbers and then comparison shop at several on-line retailers. I happen to like Ron Ayers as they offer the lowest prices and decent service:

The T500/GT500 had a stock bore of 70mm and two overbore sizes 70.5mm and 71mm. You'll need to determine what bore size you have now and if it's still tight enough to seal properly with new rings.

This thread is worthless without PICTURES please, the suspense is killing me..I want to see it..GT500's are way cool :D

back with news and pics but now i need someone to explain how to put the pics up on... ha i kno i can figure out a motorcycle but not how out put up decent sized pics... could anyone help me out this bike needs exposure haha

Hi Pete....It's frustrating not to be able to get pictures posted up ! I can't do it either....
Just get some URLs posted up, and at least we will be able to see what you have done.
