By the way, Inuit are Eskimo not Indian. In their area, the indians are the Athabaskan people. The Inuit and Yup'ik are very sensative about that since they are traditional enemies with the Athabaskan.

a friend of mine is from alaska. he is always trying to get us to eat agutik>> spelling?? some funky greasy fishy thing made with crisco (should be whale fat or something).
Monkey,
Agutaq is made a couple of different ways depending on where you are. Inland, up the Yukon River, it is made from whipped Crisco, sugar and berries. It is tolerable. On the coast it is made from whipped seal oil, sugar, berries, and dried whitefish. It is quite fishy and nasty. My dog likes it OK, but it makes her stink.
