This time of year I usually travel in Mexico for a few days, but due to many things I may stick North of the border. So, I am looking for interesting things to do and see in the Texas/New Mexico Area.

I prefer to stay out of city areas.

My travel buddy and I like to do, in no particular order except #1--

#1- EAT local/regional foods. Diners, driveins, and especially dives. Not where we would have to fight our way out of though. The stranger the better. The more locals the better. A couple years ago we ate our way from NY to Mexico. Most fun was the crawfish in Beau Bridge La., except the water moccasins under the food deck creeped me out a little.

Ghost towns
Local festivals
anything Motorcycle
intersesting museums
points of local interest
natural formations

You get the idea. I have been to the coolest places when I just asked locals what to see in their area.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Geeto. That,s the day I head home. We will be touring March 7-12 or so, then back to work in Rio Bravo for a week.
