I heard that they are going to clarify the helmet rule soon. Hopefully allowing the European equivilants to Snell. Should come out in writting before long.

Bob did mention a couple of other euro standards the helmets could conform to- one he could remember and one he couldn't. I don't remember what he said. The waterfall backdrop was messing with my head.
I believe downtown Laconia is finished due- too many problems like crowd control. He drove around the Gunstock course and said the pavement is much now than when we were there last. THey will still do the banquet for the reunion riders that weekend

Evil,
By the way....I don't appreciate you re-topic'ing the topic that I so very throughly hijacked. That was a hijack masterpiece and you're dissing it bro.

BFD-
Gunstock pavement was worse or better than 3 years ago?(I'm betting worse.) BTW, didn't USCRA stop running there only because the ski area choose not to allow the road-race? I loved the setting.
I really really liked Gunstock...except for the pavement...for people that were really racing...the downhill section was getting freakin dangerous with fork bottoming bumps.
BTW. I have word that the helmet standard for 2007 will be...Snell 2005 OR Current Euro ECE 22.05, OR Current ACU GOLD/BSI Type A.
it was a very cool atmosphere. i liked the pits lining the road down to the course. spectators were cool too! however it's a very dangerous track. big trees and racing = stupid.
Guys, it wasn't a race, it was an *exhibition*. Geez.
I don't remember being scared at the time, but when I think back at how fast I went down that hill it gives me a bit of a chill. Definitely a great atmosphere though; no doubt.
