dudes,

why is the banquet located in B.F.E.? holy snikeys, i looked at a map last night thinking me and the missus might have been able to spend the day in boston and go to the banquet that night, wrong! might as well have it at nhis.

oh well, i think i'm coming. is there anything to do in bennington,vt?

johnny b, would you haul a vic camp fairing back to saratoga for david nelson?

open or cash bar?

smoking or nonsmoking?

how late can you pay for tickets?

i think it suzx its so far away. we're not coming from maine. i know and have heard its a hoot, but its too far away in the middle of the winter, just when storms are coming. particiaption would be HUGE if it was a week or so after Frontierland. I know, JB, it's easy for you and a bunch of others, but why not move it around like the GIRO.

It's about 1 1/2 hours for me....not bad at all...but I don't care for the drive, it's a pain in the ass dangerous winter drive most of the time from the direction I come in.

As of right now I plan on going....sometimes I stay, other times I leave early and get to work at 10pm. I usually hate the band, I think the food sucks, the drinks ain't cheap, the only freakin reason I go is to see the people.

Tex if I'm there I'd certainly bring it back to Saratoga. Problem is I'm goofy...chances are 80% I'll be there...but I'm usually not sure until the week before. I don't send my money to till the last minute.

AND I don't get this "The club loses money on the banquet" thing...fuck that, I can have steak at Ponderosa for freakin $10...at the banquet I get a crappy meal for $35...how the heck is the club losing money on that.

let's move the banquet to DA's.

that way, johnny can see his people, make some bucks, and we can all get shitfaced and make out with the skidmore coeds.

i'm game.

p.s.- i was too young to goto DA's when my sister went there. do they have a kitchen or is there a ponderosa near by?

ps. I fcked up a little bit, almost lost all the little balls in the steering head when getting those damn clubman bars off . . . . but all is good . . .

Actually the members aren't that cheap...except when it comes to donations for something.

Vote on this: The banquet? Or an additional race on the schedule?

And by the way....seriously fuck the spying on every fucking web site in the country for negative USCRA stuff....Good way to get me to ditch this club and race with someone else. Believe me...I ain't the problem.

No kitchen at Annies...but we do throw a kick ass New Years private party every year. OPEN BAR, caviar, champagn, lobster...all FREE. We put out 160 invitations (with one guest). Usually costs us about $2500 our cost. Don't think our place is big enough....we can fit a hundred plus...stand up drinking college kids....don't know about old folks though.

In fact...don't fuckin tempt me or I'll sell this vintage shit that I own and race an RS125 with LRRS exclusively. When I think of the freakin time and money I have lost supporting the club and vintage racing it makes me want to freakin puke.

I can buy an RS125 and race with LRRS, WERA, AHRMA etc etc and have the same fun, never volunteer, spend no extra time or money of my own, no guilt, no BS and STILL see most of my friends at the track....need I go on.

Be VERY VERY freakin careful...USCRA members are there by their OWN freakin love of the membership...and for NO other reason. Anyone makes it even fuckin microscopically unpleasant for me and I'll be racing with someone else.

I don't kid around about something I've lost such a HUGE amount of time and money supporting...there are many things I could have had or done in my personal life if I didn't choose to lose thousands of dollars supporting this club.

If anyone wants to carpool from the NH/ME area, I'm leaving from Raymond NH and won't be spending the night.

I might go to the rules committee meeting, just because they're interesting. And who knows, maybe I can get another rule change made to piss people off!

There a several members that live on LI that usually go....not sure if any of them are on Caferacer though.

Despite my negativity, you'll enjoy it if you like the folks that are there. I usually go just to get to spend time with Frank C. and to check out Aaron's girl friend.
