I am not a fan of anything that decreases the useable fuel load of a motorcycle for looks. The part I hate about riding is the frequent fuel stops (every 110 to 130 miles). so to me that tank is no better than the other one.
BTW when carpy did this to a DOHC and sold it on ebay, we lampooned the shit out if him too....I don't see any difference here - too much form over function.
I am digging the homemade rearsets though.
Other things I am not digging are the cheap emgo metal mesh pod filters (on cv carbs no less - ick, no wonder he is having problems "dialing in" the carbs), the clubman bars where I am guessing they had to be cut an re-welded since standard clubmans are too narrow for DOHC cb hondas. The homemade side covers are ok but I wish he had done something to cover up that ugly sidecover mount on the bottom of the tank like the stock side covers do. I also don't dig that it has pitted fork tubes, needs tires, and has a few other problems and someone has bid $2K on it and the researve has not been hit.
not to start another carpy thread but when carpy sells a bike on for that kind of money it is at the very least ready to ride for the season.
