I did a search and couldn't find an answer. I had to take my wiring out of my old bars to put on new ones. Now it seems something is wrong with the starter button area. The wires were old and corroded so I cut the wire back to fresh metal and re-soldered it onto the contact. Now the button seems to only work 2% of the time and only when I move the wiring around. I can not see why this is happening. I'm about to give up and just order a whole new switch cluster.

Any ideas??

I think you need to check your connections. If it only works when you wiggle the wiring a faulty connection is the likely culprit..

The wire was corroded and rough that leads to the contact. So I shortened it and resoldered it. Also, on the cb350 (not sure about the 200) there is a run/stop switch on the top. Mine seemed faulty- so I just joined the blk/blk-white striped wire together. Now I just turn the key and kick it or hit the starter button and it fires.

Good luck.
