I took the maiden voyage last week on the cbfreebee. It rode pretty good. It needs some ironing out and tuning but all in all it was fun and suprsingly safe. It seemed to max out at 70mph. Is this right?
What is everyones top speed?

cb750 right?

Let me put it this way - my cb750 K5 (stock, mostly) carries my 280lbs ass to 100 mph with a fouled plug in the #1 cylinder. When she was in good nick, with the wind at my back and down hill (and hugging that tank like I'm married to it) I could get 125-130 indicated (who knows how accurate those speedos are).

My girlfriends former cj360 would still carry my fat ass to 75-80 mph.

so recheck your bike, me thinks you are going to need to do some more tuning.

Bring it out to Brighton tonight. Catboy & I are going to be in my garage, until it gets dark. Then we're off to the pub.

Catboy claims to have had my cb360 to 85. I've only had it to an indicated 80 (I have more to live for than he does).

my cb550 took me to an indicated 100. no faster. (i sold it last week btw)

my cb750 has indicated 125, had a good bit left in it too. (yoshi cam and yoshi heads, big bore kit, sprokets, and i would say the crank has been lightened as that thing revs fast as shit).

my f4i indicated 160 once. that was as fast as it would go. i'd say the speedos are off by 10% above 100.

my 240sx indicated 174. no more rpms. :0)
