Just got my newsletter and after reading the rules changes. I don't understand why they are putting the MT125R Honda in the LWSV when the ULWSV class was designed for the MT.

Because they are faster than most 250's and outside the years that are allowed.

There are lots of early 70's machines like the Yamaha RD200 that make good racers and fit into ULSV. The earlier machines are getting scarce and pricy. My RD 200 runs pretty good even with stock carbs and mufflers. All you need is lock wire and Cheng shin $40 tires to start racing.

I assume ULWSV is two stroke only? They make no mention of four strokes in the class.... cause I got some ideas you know.

It's for anything up to 200cc from 68 to, I think, 76.

350s and 250s werew allowed in ULT.

They removed 350s, 250s are still allowed.

They'll probably remove them, once I finish my 250.

It's a 200cc class. Johnny Bravo noticed a mistake in the bump-up chart that said it was a bump-up for 250GP. The chart was supposed to be changed.
Bravo's 250 isn't as fast as the 200 anyway so we should probably let him run.
BTW now that he won the ULSV, by default, he told me he's retiring it.

JB,
Yeah, maybe you're right and we should just push the max year out to 77 or whenever the MT's were sold. But the TA125 is basicly a street bike with some good mods, not too different than my YA6 with the factory Gyt kit....except for maybe 10hp.
BTW which of you guys is gonna protest my YA6 frame, dry clutch and SA?

It's a good thing us old guys use Depends.

Hey, I just got an idea. How about a five hour endurance race where you have to drink 2 quarts of Kool-aid before the start and aren't allowed to visit the men's room. Depends would only be allowed for those of us over 60.
