Is there a Singles class? I don't see anything in the rules/class structure.

yes. see the new rulebook, if it ever gets printed. No ’tards, singles up tp 1988, I think. Also, new classes and rules are in the new USCRA newsletter, you should get it in the mail witihin 3 weeks, includes the giro new jersey application form and class champions list.

JB, will you make the NJ Giro? May 5-6

I'll post it here tomorrow am, the singles rules. We are following P4 rules, i think.

Thanks Rob and Evil. I'm wondering if my '86 XL600, which was in production in '84 (I think) would raise any eyebrows..it will look like a typical singles class bike, not a motard. Also wondering if I can race it with Maxxis DT's, which are a treaded race tire, but not DOT. I think I have the rest of the P4 stuff covered.
Are they going to require Snell '05 helmets this year?

Also, all riders in racing events will be required to use a full-face helmet meeting one of the following specifications: Snell M2005, British ACU Gold stamp, BSI 6658 Type A, or ECE 22-05. We will be inspecting all helmets in tech this year and you will not race if you don’t have a helmet meeting one of these specs. Snell M2000 helmets will NOT pass USCRA tech and you will not be able to race.
The rules committee discussed at some length the continued march towards inclusion of more modern classes, something that comes up yearly and is so central to the future of vintage racing. In general the committee felt that USCRA has many viable classes and needs to give the existing classes time to grow and flourish before allowing more modern classes. A proposed class for AHRMA style modern Triumph Bonneville / Thruxtons was declined, and the popular Singles class was redefined to be a Vintage Singles class for bikes up to 1989, and for stock MZ Scorpions. The existence of a strong LRRS Singles class for motards and modern singles allows us to focus our effort and time on vintage machinery. If there are current USCRA participants adversely affected by this decision we’d like to hear from you, no member spoke against the redefinition of the singles class, and it was approved unanimously.

See I didn't know that it was up for getting dismissed. I race Big Singles and wanted to switch from the BSA to a KTM. I bought the bike specifically for that class.
