Sorry for flooding the posts, but I'm effing excited. So, I've found a guy locally with an 84 v65 he's selling for $750. Turns out we know each other in a round about way, he's involved in a non-profit I used to volunteer with. Long story short he's willing to sell it to me for $600. It's low miles and all it needs is a brake rebuild and gauge lenses. It's ugly as hell but I can deal with that. It will be a sleek and retarded fast cafe racer when I'm done with it.

gotta fill out your location dude

not a big fan of the v-65 sabre. some people really love them, just not me. Cleaned up and pretty looking and they tend to bring a fair amount of cash. Personally I would rather have an early vf1000 (F or R). Any running motorcycle is a good deal at $600.

They are pretty quick bikes, but the Sabers had the early Honda V4 soft cam problems. If the oil wasn't changed religiously, they pitted their cams quickly. There we're all kinds of modifications out there to solve the problem, like and extra oil line to the head, oil coolers, etc.

But hey, if its in good shape and runs well, $600 is pretty good for a running bike.
