a friend of mine has some vented disks for his car he wants to use. they're kinda grubby and rusty. anyone know anything about turning vented disks?? i know the stylus that is typically used is small. like a parting tool. even though this is a small surface area tool, can it still be used to turn a vented disk?? it doesnt make sense that it would catch but maybe it would. anyone know about this stuff?? just wondering.

Yes Joe... Is the surface on the disc flat on both side. If it is, Hutchinson Cycle can do it. I can't really explain how the machine works but I can tell it does do a great job.

we cant tell if its flat. its pitted with rust a bit. being that it is, its hard to tell if its truly flat. we're going to try some naval jelly, than go from there. maybe wire brush. we'll have to see how the naval jelly does. its good to know though. those disks are just drilled. not sloted. cool though. thanks for the info. maybe i'll send em up. do you know if the machine is like a standard disk turning machine?? either way, thanks man.
