I read this on ADV and thought there might be some interest here:

"Hey: We are tossing an idea around for a new event, at least new in the USA,
they have been doing it in Europe for a while now.

"Vintage Enduro" that’s right, late 70's / early 80's street legal enduro bikes
in a "Rough Reliability Run" format. One rider per minute, trying to hit the
check points at the 30-second mark.

The bike requirements would be no water cooling or disk brakes, mono shocks OK.
The details would have to be worked out, but thats the overall plan.

We would have the event in the Spring of 2009, in the NJ Pine Barrens.

Any Interest?"

If anyone thinks they may be up for this let me know and I'll get the guys
contact info.

Rosko,

Would this be kind of like the Giro? Hell, many of the roads we ran on in the last two would have been alot easier on a dual sport!

At my age, I have a hard time considering late 70's/early 80's bikes "vintage"...... I don't have anything that new except the Sporty.

I would be interested in riding the event.
