i cant even begin to explain the weekend at vir. it was insane. if you werent there, you missed it.

just a few hi-lites.

jnotd taking texy to school. beating him in every race after not even finishing 1 practice lap on the day.

jnotd and tex fighting it out for a race win, chasing rope, running off the track in front of tex and holding his spot, passing 2 guys in t2, passing 2 guys in t4 and just generally riding like a complete idiot. a job well done!

one word, FOAMHENGE!

flying walendas on the pit scooter and having it confiscated by track security and put on display at the front gat for everyone to see after being warned about not doing what we were doing.

tex having his potrait taken then aarons bike catching on fire.

spending 16 hours in a van with tex over the course of 60 hours.

scot evil tossing it down in practice and being enough of a trooper to have a fun weekend after all.

"moonshine and ciggrettes i love you. :) jd"

ya'll missed it

jc

(and im not exagerating any of this)

Having never been to another track before I wasn't sure what to expect... All I can say it is a VERY friendly atmosphere, things are run VERY smooth, and you get REAL trophies / plaques(not mugs that don't even have the race name on it), and three races cost me 165 bucks. All in all if I could go there every weekend I would... I can't wait for Summit but if you have only been to NHIS and you would like to experience the a fore mentioned you gotta go.. I wish everyone had made it but hopefully you'll all make it to Summit.. What I have come to realize, 24 hours of driving in 3 days, was WELL worth it and Roper is the fastest fscking thing I have seen anywhere, anytime. As always due to my history of binge drinking and blunt head traumas I wouldn't have been able to even get on the track without Aaron, Joe, Tex, Scott and a cast of thousands.

Clarification on my last post, as to not be misconstrued.
NHIS.. people/racers are equally friendly, track is equally fun, what I meant was you should all really do whatever you have to do to go sometime.
Sorry if sounded wrong...

both... bike, then him.. Luckily we all stood around the bike while it was smoking and he was 20 feet away about to pose for a myspace photo shoot. By the time he made it to the bike it was toast... I have never seen someone become more motivated to get his BSA running.. He had about 10mins and with the help of Scott and the neighbor's rollers.. he was on the grid... impressive display of abilities by both men. 10hours... it's WELL worth it... if for no other reason than to see the flying wallenda's and a fat security gaurd saying "I done wahrned you bouyas" and "you sure do have a purty mouth Tex".

The other thing is that it's right down in the blue ridge parkway area and the roads and scenery are awesome and fugetta bout it.. Foamhenge.

Sounded fine to me.....and I agree.
I'd be there if it wasn't ten hours each way.

So...did Aaron's bike burn up....or just burn?

JohnnyB
The bike was running tip top for a 200gp bike and everything was like clock work. Then after carelessly not unpluging the battery the coil and the pertronix burnt up. Thanks to all the guys that were ten feet away yelling to me that my bike was smoking.

Branson I'm still running a stock motor minus the pistons. If you look at last years VIR times in 250, they are pretty comparable to the leaders. SO I'm not to dicouraged. Just waiting to get the cam back in, the PVL and hopefully the valves in before the next event.

Aaron
Scott thanks for the help on getting the B50 started in record time.

yup, that's it. Thanks. But the transponder I had had TT's name on it. I just wanted to make sure that when I felt faster in the second practice that I actually was . . .

"I noticed that if joe c came up and that was me then who was I"

Yeah . .. so who are you and where are your times? Did the transponder get on the B50?
