Folks,

Since the VRRA has seen fit to only post information in the members only section, does anyone that's on here know what the scoop is with transponders for Mosport? If I only race the single Mosport weekend, and have always loved that race, do I need to buy a transponder this year, or do I have to rent one? Or can I just not get points for the single race? And I need a RACE license? Who knows what's up, Bandit???

Thanks,
Craig

By reading their message board looks like AMB 160 will be used from now on. They will have a certain number on hand for rentals. Check their membership forms for costs to purchase a transponder and rent for each event.
I think we have to buy a membership or a one time event pass? I think they respect other clubs licenses so a "RACE" license is not needed.
I'm hoping to make it to MOSPORT this year also.

Hey guys, after reading the concerns in this post I contacted the Prez, Ralf Scholtes. I gave him this link so that he can reply directly to the questions brought up regarding transponders, licencing, points and insurance. I'll give him a call after I get home from work today (Mar 7) just to make sure he got my email and that the link I sent him worked.
Hope to meet some of you guys this year.

Cheers, Graham

VRRA transponder information can be found on our website (www.vrra.ca) in the Forms Cabinet. Look for the transponder information sheet for all the details.

To answer some of your questions.....

All riders will be required to have a functioning transponder at all VRRA events. Rentals will be available. AMB TransX 160 and 260 transponders are compatible.

As far as licensing goes....If you do not have a RACE licence you can buy a one event RACE licence (available at the track) for $15.
