WAY Low Profile Tail Light Options

I'm wondering what some of you guys might have done to solve this problem. I can't think of anything worse than building an awesome fuckin' seat only to have to throw some ugly ass, clunky eye sore of a light on it just to be street legal. From what i've seen so far of most "low profile" accessories, they all pretty much destroy the look of almost any seat cowling.

a good starting point may be taking a rear end view picture (of the bike...) and xeroxing (b&w) the print as big as you can...11X17...at least 8 1/2X11 a bunch of times and sketching (fast) shapes in red pencil or crayon, or sharpie what ever, which look good to you. (a small circle, a large circle, a trapezoid, 3 dots making a triangle, 3, 4, 5, dots in line etc.) that will let you know if you are doing l.e.d.s or retro fiting an existing unit of some sort. then do the same with a side view picture to figure out how it contours to the seat or fender. sounds to me you are going to be pickey about the result so you may need to make the whole thing. if it has to only deal with the seat, what is/are the material(s) involved? (will the light unit pop out of fibreglass/paint or upholstry? heck make a design contest out of it on caferacer...though there'e nothing worse than design by commitee. l.e.d.s are wicked versitile but don't have the vintage look if that's what you're after. just a few thoughts. i won't go on and on...

g man
nicely finished rig. looks like a lot of thought and care went into the project. if you take up catboy's suggestion, champster has the clubmans you're after. he's a real pro with the cafe upgrades.
