WAY Low Profile Tail Light Options

I'm wondering what some of you guys might have done to solve this problem. I can't think of anything worse than building an awesome fuckin' seat only to have to throw some ugly ass, clunky eye sore of a light on it just to be street legal. From what i've seen so far of most "low profile" accessories, they all pretty much destroy the look of almost any seat cowling.

nightprowler has a bunch of cool hot rod taillights too...not that expensive either....
geeto: those round truck lights are cool as hell. my original plan was to do basically the same thing with dual filament bullets mounted up under the pan like that on either side of the plate. i like your idea of frenching in a round light, but was trying to keep the fabrication as minimal as i could in efforts to get the prick on the road in the shortest amount of time. something like frenching that is a real committment too...i more about veratility and options on this bike. nice bike by the way. assuming it's yours, did you do the tank mods? if so, good on ya, mate!

...it'dd look better with clubmans though.

BTW, for anyone who cares to know, after some exhaustive reasearch, most states seem to default to the SAE intensity standard of 500 foot visibility.

i also checked out various trailer lights that'll work well too. some LED and all very affordable.

grant: thanks bro! that'd be awesome. and once i sort out the issue on mine, the dead man special should be a peice of cake.

nicely finished rig. looks like a lot of thought and care went into the project. if you take up catboy's suggestion, champster has the clubmans you're after. he's a real pro with the cafe upgrades.

This is a combo (brake/signal/tail light) LED unit. I had to use a different flasher as the current is different on the LEDs as it is with the stock bulb set up. It' mounted upside down...I'm thinking about turning it over.

What did you use for your flasher?

Hey By'
after posting that pic I thought, damn there's a lot o' junk in that trunk. While it's not tiny, camera angle makes it look like Bertha Butt.....here's another more flattering angle (you've seen it before though). I'll have to check on the flasher. The company that made the light unit recommended it (and they were correct). The original unit wouldn't flash. I'll get the company's name tonight.
I just wanted to defend my scooter's arse!

just remembered...here's the link to Clear Alternatives. They were very friendly and shipped extremely quickly from California.

I din't have to use the resistors that came with the light unit.

I use HD marker lights for my run/tail lights--->

That are small, run an 1157 dual fillament bulb, and are bright as hell. You can get them outta the Drag Specialties catalogue..
