hey, big fan of them motosickles and i figured i'd sign up.

gots meself a cb650 and an ft500 (both honda products) that i play with. i've had the 500 for over a year and just last week i finally got it runing. i live in baltimore and the bike is 1hr north, in yorkPA, so i dont work on it as much as i want and that's kind of why it's taken so long, but it's getting there! it's not completely done because the more i do to it and look at it, the more i want to do on it! right now it's got some ducati tank from the 70's (or so my friend says) and some cafe style generic fairing and seat. i dont know where the front fender comes from though. attached should be a picture of it as i bought it (different now of course).

the 1981 CB650 was purchased in january on a limb and mostly because it was bone stock (the 500 was so messed up by previous owner that repairing the wiring mistakes was where i spend most of my time) and it had less 8K miles. the chrome and engine were dirty and the tank dusty but a little elbow grease, wd40 and chrome cleaner got that thing to shine and it's now simply gorgeous (for a stock bike). this thing was supposed to be for my bro and i to share and just enjoy as is but the clubman bars i got for the FT do not fit on it (i ended up turning the og bars upside down) so i put them on the CB. turns out my bro loves them and i figured that i CANNOT leave it at that. so, i'm going to get a rear fender and cut that up and instal some better tail lights and turn signals. i'm going to get a seat and make meself a solo seat and then, later down the road, i'll get a cb750 supersport tank and put some knee inserts etc.... this project should go much faster and all the things i will do will be "bolt on" so i could turn the screemer back to stock if need be. picture should be attached as well.

they made post war bmw's after the germans left, they only had the tooling to make beemers. so therewere a few years when you could buy a bmw from france. it had a different badge on it. a buddy of mine has one.

joeC, actually the pic of the FT is in york, so i dont know how you could find out that i'd be from the county.... i am phisically almost incapable of actually typing cockeysv.... i f'n hate this place!
nope, never really been to a race at the fairgrounds and i dont have a durt bike.
what's up at this fells pt bar?
and finally, yeah, one of these days i'll stop by your mtvn shop. am a bit busy these days but i work off of Howard, near North ave. not far at all.

jack, yeah, fauxcati is like faux news, fake. i figured it was fitting. the french do make bikes and good f'n looking ones too.... here is a gallery: http://www.voxan.com/voxan/photos.asp peugeot makes a lot of scooters too. and the french also have a magasine dedicated to the styles i like: www.cafe-racer.fr they had Carpy in there (if you're into the early CBs and cafes you know who he is).

nah, i dont know of any biker trash. i've been into old vw's for 10 years now and i still dont know any vw people around here! i'm not very sociable i guess. i do know the guy at baltimore cycle salvage a bit because i go in there often enough. and there's the owner of cockeysville cycles who's cool. he rebuilt my carbs on the CB650. they were so messed up he had to dip'em twice for over an hour. runs sweet now though. i think his young guy in the shop has won a few of the races at the faigrounds last year.
