Hirko is coming back to race. Saturday night was my daughter's senior prom night so I wanted to stay home for that. It didn't make a lot of sense to drive up on Sunday morning for a single race, so I stayed home for the weekend. And her high school graduation is the same weekend as the AHRMA Beaver Run weekend, but I did find out that we've postponed her graduation party until the first weekend in July so I will probably go to the race early Saturday morning. Hope some of the Caferacer.net folks will make the trek out there.

My plan is to be back on the track for the Laconia weekend. See you guys then.

Hope everyone that fell this past weekend is feeling ok. Though it sounds like Dave Evans may have gotten the worse of it.

J "Who Cares" D,

I'm not sure what the exact symptoms you were seeing with the PVL but last year at Mid Ohio my bike was running for crap. The kill switch was the problem. On Sunday's race I disconnected the kill swith and the bike ran fine. I wouldn't recommend running with out a kill switch but just to see if that's the problem you may want to disconnect the kill switch and try it. Just hold the brake and release the clutch to kill the bike.

Not That,

I'm not saying Buff is wrong, but I rode a whole race without the kill switch and placed pretty well. It was running on both cylinders. You only need a kill switch to stop the bike. Not to make it run.

Matt is correct, you want one of the marine grade double pole kill switches with the pvl.

Evil, just curious why are you sure it's not the kill switch? Not trying to be a smart ass. Just curious.

Craig
But if the switch is broken couldn't it - or one side of the double pole switch - be grounded all the time? Or worse yet, grounded intermittantly?

If it was me I'd take it out and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't then that's not it. And that's the small amount of electronics that I know.
