hawk is june 6th. George, i might have the original battery (stock) cage around that you could put back on. I'll take a look. I took it out because I liked that open space.

totally blew my motor in that race. that was a fun dice.
I thought that was a bit much smoke you were spouting, there. Don't hold it against me that I was hoping it'd give out alltogether. :) I thought I had something for you a couple times, but I just couldn't make it stick. Passing is clearly a whole other level above just hanging in there!

Scott, I should be able to fab up a battery tray fairly easily. Don't break yourself hunting it down.

Thought for sure I was going to see John "Crashy" Branson up there.
Kind of like "Ashey Larry" that plays craps on the Chappelle show.

Or Mary "One Cylinder" Branson

JB,
You still need to crash in 1,3,6 & 11 to match my corner numbers.

How about "Johnny 2-timer"

I had great fun but I do owe it to the tyres and the stuff I've learned from the Courts family. I will say hanging with Tim C. is like a permanent track walk, Zack knows some stuff too.

I do know it will be a different situation in the dry but I'll take the wins however I can get them. One thing I really like about the USCRA is the same guy I want to beat and who wants to beat me, was the same guy who spent endless hours helping me change the tyres.

I did keep track of who was heading in to turn 3 when I was going over the hill. I will have to say to my surpise that Strempfer had closed a significant gap in short time. I think he's going to be a contender for ULS.

It really was a great weekend and it was cool to hear what "Flack" ? the flat tracker who walked away with about 9 trophies said about the USCRA.
He's been racing for almost 20-30 years and coming to Loudon is best people he's raced with.
I think I got 4th in Middle Wt. and LWSV and 2nd to Rabbie in FCB which had to have been the most fun race I have had yet. My sholder came within a whisker of the wall in 2 and 12 a couple times and both our bikes seemed to be sliding everywhere. It was a blast...
I hope to get the iggy doped out this week and maybe have another pony or two ready for him at the next event.
Thanks to Johnny for giving me my breaks back and to everyone who laid eyes on my PVL mystery.
I think it's the kill switch (per Buff) just as an fyi for those curious.

Thanks again!

J "Who Cares" D,

I'm not sure what the exact symptoms you were seeing with the PVL but last year at Mid Ohio my bike was running for crap. The kill switch was the problem. On Sunday's race I disconnected the kill swith and the bike ran fine. I wouldn't recommend running with out a kill switch but just to see if that's the problem you may want to disconnect the kill switch and try it. Just hold the brake and release the clutch to kill the bike.

I'm sory but that flattracker guy was damn scary to ride on the track with. You never knew when he was going to bail.

Foot down and sliding either one or both tires in the rain... I know a couple of people that saw that and backed way off to wait for him to crash. Yes, I'm sure he's a great rider, but damn scary to ride with.
it's not the kill switch. I just want to state that right here and now.
Buff said the kill switch was required otherwise one side would be on while the other side was off...

Thanks J "not that" D

i run a marine grade dual throw switch... they are vibration proof, water proof and do the job. you can get one at any west marine store. you can probably find one online as well.

Pete T. That's who I am blaming it on.

I was behind Flach for the first lap of the singles race. Scary. Out of T1 his rear tire was all over the place . . .
For those of you who I endless annoyed talking about the mysterious noise coming from my engine. And after checking everything at the track that I could check short of splitting the cases I came to the conclusion that there might be a piece of broken valve spring still in the engine from Frontier Land.
Today I drained the oil, and pop off the bottom crankcase inspection plate....found this.

The edges of the break are peened down nicely, meaning it was rubbing or banging on something. All my screwing around on Sat afternoon must have dislodged it...that's when the sounds stopped.
No I'm not going to open up the cases to see what it did, I like to live dangerously.

jb,

that would make an awesome nose ring?

2nding tim.

tim has given me some of the best advice for racing ive ever gotten. the guy is great. one of the best and when he finally packs it in, we'll all have lost out on a great guy and really super rider. any race tim is in, i always try and watch. and being on the track with him is always just kick ass. super smooth, and just great fun to watch.
