One of my bikes is a monster 695 and it seems that the wire power wire that passes through the factory fuel pump housing has a break inside the epoxy that seals the wire. The cost of a new pump and housing is $1100. So if I can solder the break and re seal it that will save me a lot of cash.

I use Resin Research epoxy. I recently built a fuel tank with it and it seems to do well against ethanol.

So you had the power wire failure as well. Do you know if the wire in the epoxy is in a plug or is it going straight to the pump it's self. The reason I ask is that when I pushed each end toward each other the pump has fired up each time. I am afraid of going on any long rides at this time
