Between the handlebar and the plastic throttle tube that slides over it, what lube (if any) do you guys use? I've been using a white lithium grease, but then I thought maybe that's not good for the plastic tube? Couldn't find any suggestions in the Clymer manual.

Thanks,

what works well is putting some motoroil in a mustard squeeze bottle, and using the dropper head on that to dripple or shoot it into the cable.

I bought one of those Motion Pro cable oilers....works great, has a hook up for the nozzle extension on spray cans of lube and you pressurize it right through the cable.

I ususually use a "dry" lube. Some molybdinum (spelling????)or CRC556 or other Teflon base lube. I use "Dry Slide" which goes on really liquid and then the carrier evaporates leaving a dry lube. The problem with grease or oil is that when the weather gets colder it doesn't slide so well.
