I'm selling my Bridgestone Hurricane 175 Scrambler that I've used in the past 3 giros. Great bike, fast, handles, all set up. It only let me down last year because the coil failed, which I will replace. I bought a 58' Cub for the giro, just wanted something different.

DGY, I would also like to see the shots of the cub. I have a '55 that will sometime get together. Had it almost done last June, then my whole town filled up with 5 1/2 feet of water in the houses. Bike was in the cellar on a wooden work table. Table floated then tipped. What a mess.....

They generally let you compete if your bike isn't way out of synch with the event, but only to fill in spots that haven't been filled with legit' machines. I expect at next Falls giro, you won't see any machines that don't qualify. In fact, it would pay to sign up ASAP as there certainly will be more new riders interested in competeing. As I understand it, first refusals will be offered to past riders first. I think Bob will probably cut it off at around 100 riders and we had 70 last year, 40 the year before, and I think 23 for the first year.

The first year was the best. I did a write-up on it for some mags' (almost got it in Cycle World, but the pics weren't good enough <sniff>). I'll see if I can post it under a different heading for those of you that may want to read it. It was cool, we did it during Hurrican Ivan and all the creeks overflowed, we almost lost Camelhairy when he did his Moses impression.

Check out USCRA-race.com for events and there should be details on the Fall giro, anyways. It will be held in Killington, VT. We had a bunch of Mercurio's and Metralla's last year. Welcome!
