I just wanted to let XS owners know that i have built my own Rear Sets using what i think was the shifters off of a Honda V65 that i bought from my local junk yard for $ 40 then i bought some Hiem joints for $ 35 and some zinc rod and some brass rod for my shims. so for around 80 or 90 including a sixer of Drop Top amber Ale i have a nice looking set I will post pics here if i can figure it out . I just could not allow my self to pay $ 250 300 for a set >
Thanks

I know you weren't bitching. I just think I'm funnier than most other people do. seriously, it might be something I do in the future. for now the tech forum will have to do.

and joe does have a lot of do-it-yourself info...I'm just not so sure what he's doing himself would go on a motorcycle related forum

jeremy, we all think youre funny.....

jeremy, you know i always say im the best at doing myself.

thanks for the credit, but by no means should you accept everything you read here as gospel, unless aaron says it. because we all know he's the real god. uh huh...anyway, ive found that most cycle people have thier own ways of doing things and thier own beliefs. we are all different. take what you learn here and use it to make your own decision. there is already one bike out there with a zebra striped fur seat. the world doesnt need another.

Hey Aaron you know i was wondering what the optimum position for the arms where I can tell you that XS's have a hard time finding netural. And with this set up seems to be a lot easier I will take it apart this weekend and set the arms parallel.
Thanks JD for adding the pics.
If anyone is interested in further detail e-mail me and i will take more pics of it apart and some measurments.
