Those fork tube are stuffed. The pitting is right in the seal are and they will rip your seals apart in no time.

Measure your fork stanchion diameter and have a look over here:

You will probably find another option as far as a Yamaha fork with that diameter. Look for road bike ones. It might broaden your options.

The fork tubes are toast. The pits look deep enough to even cause structural issues. All the pits mean the seals will get ripped in about five bumps, and these forks will never hold oil.

The structure integrity issues of the fork tubes were not mentioned.

And the pitting is not severe enough to affect the structural integrity of those forks. Bad enough to hamper the seals, for sure, but that's about it.

I've never done this myself, but if I was in your shoes I'd give this a go:

If you put a set of fork gaiters on, no one would know.

Make sure all your grounds are good including engine to chassis. Looks like all new paint you could easily just not be grounding well enough if your paint is good and tough.

Yeah - I'd be checking all this first up.
