Hi guys, been away for a while so rather than resurrecting old threads I thought I'd update what I've been doing on the Triton.
First of all I built a new workshop 😆
It turns out I bought the wrong motor. I've got a '52 6T with small bearings and journals with white metal big ends. This is not robust enough for my needs. So after much research I decided to replace the Conrods for latest spec and use the shells from the C range 350/500 unit motor. Other mod is to use a roller bearing on the drive side and clamp it with a shim between the bearing and engine sprocket. I also need new pistons and crank ground to suit the shells as a one off because they don't correlate necessarily to the -20 size for the crank. Hope you're eyes aren't glazing over, mine are.😁
